License and what it means for you

The UK Gambling Commission is a strict regulator. Players in Great Britain get its rules on identity checks, safer-gambling tools and complaints.

Sister sites

Coral shares its licence holder with Ladbrokes, bwin and PartyCasino. Our data lists 30 active Entain sister brands, including Foxy Games, Gala Spins, Sportingbet and Eurobet. Many sister sites share terms and support. A self-exclusion at Coral may not cover them.

Fines and regulator actions

Entain has the biggest penalty in our data. In December 2023 it agreed a £585 million deferred prosecution agreement with UK prosecutors over bribery in its former Turkey-facing business (2011-2017), plus £20 million to charity and £10 million in costs. In August 2022 the UK Gambling Commission settled with LC International and Ladbrokes retail for £17 million over safer-gambling and anti-money-laundering failures. In 2019 Ladbrokes Coral paid £5.9 million. The Dutch regulator fined its BetCity company €400,000 in 2023 and €2.65 million in 2025. Other actions in our data include: November 2023, the Dutch Kansspelautoriteit, €3 million (BetEnt B.V.); January 2022, Poland's Ministry of Finance (GIIF), PLN 2,950,000 (STS S.A.); June 2019, Sweden's Spelinspektionen, SEK 5.5 million (ElectraWorks Limited).
