Sports Interaction is owned by Entain plc, the London-listed betting group behind Ladbrokes, Coral, bwin and partypoker. Entain bought it in February 2022 for £175m. Who is behind it

Sports Interaction is a Canadian sportsbook and casino brand. Entain names it in its own brand list. Entain, formerly GVC Holdings, is based in the Isle of Man, and our data gives 2004 as its founding year. It also co-owns BetMGM in the US with MGM Resorts.

License and what it means for you

A Kahnawake authorisation is an offshore licence. Players get much less protection than under a licence from their own country or province, and no national self-exclusion register covers the site. In Ontario, Sports Interaction has an iGaming Ontario registration, which covers players in Ontario only.

In August 2022 Entain companies agreed a £17m settlement with the UK Gambling Commission over safer-gambling and anti-money-laundering failures. In January 2025 the Dutch regulator fined BetCity, an Entain brand, €2.65 million.

Outside Ontario, sportsinteraction.com runs under Electraworks Limited, which the Kahnawake Gaming Commission lists as permit holder for the site (the same Entain company also holds a Danish licence). The Ontario site, on.sportsinteraction.com, runs under ElectraWorks Maple Limited with iGaming Ontario.
